Michael wins IHG Award


Michael Marshall Smith and Glen Hirshberg share International Horror Guild Award

The 10th International Horror Guild Awards for achievement in the fields of horror and dark fiction were announced on Saturday 10th April at the World Horror Convention in Phoenix, Arizona.

Michael was nominated in the Collection category for Earthling Publications' MORE TOMORROW & OTHER STORIES. We're delighted to announce that he was joint winner of the award, tying with Glen Hirshberg's THE TWO SAMS: GHOST STORIES (Carroll & Graf).




Other winners include: LOST BOY, LOST GIRL by Peter Straub (Best Novel); JINN by Matthew B. J. Delaney (First Novel); THE DARK: NEW GHOST STORIES by Ellen Datlow (Anthology); LOUISIANA BREAKDOWN by Lucius Shepard (Long Fiction); DANCING MEN by Glen Hirshberg, published in THE DARK (Medium Fiction); WITH ACKNOWLEDGMENTS TO SUN TZU by Brian Hodge, published in TTA (Short Fiction). Honoured as Living Legends were Stephen King (about time!) and Everett F. Bleiler. Jack Cady was recognised with a posthumous Special Award.
